I have always been fascinated by this series of paintings and I wonder if anyone would know wh ere Rubens executed these works. I can't imagine Henry and Marie posing. Did Rubens make sketches and return to his studio in Antwerp to complete the cycle and then transport them to France? Many thanks, Olivia
